A really nice meal with good service
Delicious food, friendly staff who were happy to explain the authentic dishes on the menu. Wonderful interior, great atmosphere.
Absolutely loved our meal at Silk Road. The food was genuinely delicious — really high quality, full of flavour, and with a thoughtful menu that feels a bit different from your standard Indian. Lots of choice, with dishes that feel more inspired by places like Dishoom, which makes it such a lovely alternative if you want something a bit more interesting.
The service was exceptional too — everyone was incredibly friendly, and the owner was especially attentive with our two young children (3 and 5), helping suggest dishes that would work well for them, which made the whole experience so much easier and more enjoyable.
It’s also BYOB, which is such a bonus — being able to bring a nice bottle of wine and enjoy it with amazing food was brilliant.
Would highly recommend to anyone in the Caterham area — we’ll definitely be back!

The good was delicious, service top notch.
What brilliant people who run this restaurant and their Tarka Daal was indeed one of the best we have ever had. Might visit again though quite far from East London.
